Design school teaches you one very solid thing: be mindful of your process. Ultimately, the final prodcut is the result of a combinaton of different things: research, experience, technical proficiency, a trained eye, knowledge of rules (though perhaps not adhering to them so stridently), trial and error and revision, revision, revision. Getting a message across is one thing, being clever about it is something else entirely. I strive to not compare myself to others, inasmuch as I try not to emulate what's trendy or popular. I believe that every project, every piece of work deserves to stand on its own, to speak for itself, to be its own entity- to retain its own "thing" status. I love design; I love what I do, and I'm anal-retentive about the details to the point where I want others to love it too before its all said and done, and there's no more "process" to speak of.

about

Elixireleven is a one woman operation (this can be a bit confusing, since I tend to refer to myself in the plural quite a bit - a more apt appelation might be "Elixirleven and Friends", but that never quite retained the descriptive aspect of what I've been doing for the past decade.) I keep a small roster of clients (who I refer to as my "famiglia"), and I do the best that I can to help them realize their potential on a digital and printed canvas. I offer services in branding, packaging design, graphic design, web design and... well, if you throw something different at me, I'd likely take a crack at it, if it proves interesting. Present me with a challenge, and its rare situation where that I'll turn you down. I work and sleep wierd hours, but that's no reason for you not to get in touch if you've got a project you'd like to discuss. That's what I'm here for, afterall.

At the heart of Elixireleven is a distillation of ideas through design: editorial, graphic and web are the focus mediums of the portfolio, with an appreciation for the creative spark catalyzing it all.
